Thermal Bridging Block for use under Parapets

Insulating beneath free-standing parapet walls has always been a problem because most insulation footing material is not stable enough to support a wall subject to the effects of high winds.

The PIR version of Marmox Thermoblock has undergone a testing programme to EN1052-1 which has shown that the PIR (10N) block offers a firm and stable substrate onto which a free standing parapet wall can be constructed.

Marmox have re-issued their product information sheet on this, their “flame resistant” Thermoblock. It is called this because the insulating element is composed of flame resistant PIR which is unaffected by direct flame that is often used to apply bitumen membranes on parapet encased roofs.
